"20 Explosive Hits by 20 Original Stars" is a classic album that features some of the biggest names in the music industry. The album is a compilation of 20 tracks, each performed by a different artist. The songs range from rock and roll to pop, and each one is a hit in its own right.

The album kicks off with "All Shook Up" by Elvis Presley, a classic rock and roll track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Other standout tracks include "Great Balls of Fire" by Jerry Lee Lewis, "Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry, and "Blueberry Hill" by Fats Domino.

One of the great things about this album is the variety of artists and genres represented. From the smooth crooning of Nat King Cole to the soulful vocals of Ray Charles, there is something for everyone on this album.

This was the version me and my pals were hearing. Everybody taking turns on a crappy acoustic guitar. The Gentrys always were a great band.

This one really
brings back memories of staying out late at night . I like it better than Neil Young's version even if he did write it. Neil's version seemed limp compared to this one.

Boy, Jimmy Hart's voice comes out loud and clear on this track! No megaphone necessary!??

I had just started buying records. I heard this single and bought it. Partly because I liked this song, I soon bought Neil Young's monumental "After the Gold Rush" album and became a fan of Neil's to this day. This is a really nifty pop record, although I'd credit the recording and mix more than the musicians.

This song was one of my favorites to play when I was a kid. Later in life I met Jimmy Hart and got to know him. He told me the story how this all began. He now resides in the area of Tampa I live in.
This was the version they played on AM radio that summer I was 14 and I loved it. Then I heard Neil's version..........

I also heard this version first, on AM radio, at 12 or 13! So, I was confused when I heard Neil's version.Certainly tamer and more "garage-y". Plus, it's missing the weird, sort of Indian guitar outro of the original.
