Review by TEDDY EVERTON IGORI

The Untitled Promo Tape by Feelies is a true gem of the post-punk era. Released in 1986, this album showcases the band's signature sound that blends jangly guitars, driving rhythms, and introspective lyrics.

From the opening track "The High Road," it's clear that the Feelies are in top form. The song's propulsive beat and catchy guitar riff set the tone for the rest of the album. "Slipping (Into Something)" is another standout track, with its dreamy, atmospheric sound and haunting vocals.

The album's production is raw and unpolished, giving it an authentic, DIY feel. It's clear that the Feelies were more concerned with capturing the energy and emotion of their music than with creating a slick, commercial product.

Headed down a road
Find someplace to hide
Meet me at the door
Let me come inside
How could I forget
Wrapped up in your arms
Tangled up in you Isn't very hard

Could we really find a way around it?

Time is running out
Hour's getting late
The sun is going down
No time to hesitate
Shelter me tonight
Take me in your heart
Safe from anything
Tearing us apart

Maybe we could find a way around it?

The Feelies, Television and Dream Syndicate are the bands that truly carried forward the Velvet Underground torch into 80s and beyond. Each of these band paved the way for the Alternative rock movement which was later mined by bands The Smiths , REM, Jane's Addiction

nice cover - this band was playing well before I was born, but seems like bands like the Underground came back of the closet with bands like this, the Pixies, Urban Verbs, and so on with their laid back beats, but important subjects to express upon/ reopen; unfinished business you know
